The objective of this project was to create a website using Figma for a fictional regional recreational club requesting website promotional assistance to gain members and sponsors. The website includes the lessons, store, and contact pages.

My website is for a ping pong club named PONGERS. The website features pages for ping pong lessons, ping pong equipment, and a contact page. The main colors are blue, red, and white to go with the ping pong theme. The colors and design are energetic, vibrant, and exciting to showcase the sport of ping pong.
These are layout sketches for the website.
I had to create a brand and a website while accomplishing the objectives:
• Using a "fig jam" within Figma as an open discussion as a brainstorming
method to identify potential ideas for clubs.
• Thinking outside the box (or the "Squarespace"). Use a website design
prototyping tool instead.
• Using Adobe Illustrator to create a "word mark."
• Using Figma prototyping tools.
• Looking at website templates and examples and using a template as a sizing guide.
• Thinking "offline." Create "online."

I used my knowledge and principles of graphic design and UI/UX design to make sure that this website is easy to use, but also portrays the intense sport of ping pong. There are various elements of ping pong shown on the website, and most of the photography is motion blurred to imply motion and movement of the sport. Blue and red, which are commonly associated with ping pong, are prominent colors across the website.
I made sure that all these elements of the website work together cohesively to
showcase a well-designed piece.

My reason for choosing ping pong was for two reasons. My first one was the connection to my family, because I remember everyone playing together and having fun. I would usually watch, but I would also sometimes play. There was a nostalgic factor to choosing ping pong for this website. The second reason was due to the fact that ping pong is usually associated as being an Asian sport, so I wanted to do something
to showcase Asian culture and sports.
